Humanities Pathway

The key difference between the Humanities pathway and the Business pathway is the exclusion of the Mathematics module. Students who prefer to follow this non-mathematics stream can then progress onto a wide range of degrees, from Law, Politics and International Relations, to Journalism and PR.

The Humanities Pathway on the NCUK International Foundation programme comprises the following modules:

Business Studies

The aim of this module is to ensure students have a solid grounding in many areas of Business, and feel confident in commencing their studies in this field at undergraduate level.

Economics

This course provides an introduction to basic economic concepts and principles. The first term deals with micro-economic issues; the second  term with macroeconomic issues.

English for Academic Purposes (EAP)

Students develop academic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills together with the skills required to interpret academic texts and write academic assignments.

Society and Politics

This course provides students with a strong foundation in a variety of political topics. Traditional Politics and Society syllabuses have been modified to cater for students with little or no background knowledge in this area.
