Founded by 11 leading UK universities in 1987, NCUK is a unique programme dedicated to helping international students achieve places at prestigious UK universities.

The NCUK programme provides students with access to a choice of over 4,000 degree courses. Upon successful completion, students are guaranteed at least two university degree course offers and one place on a suitable degree programme at one of the NCUK Guaranteed Universities. In addition to the NCUK universities, this highly regarded qualification is accepted by other leading institutions in the UK and by a number of universities worldwide, including in the US, Australia, Canada and Ireland.

The course includes a specialist English for Academic Purposes (EAP) module which equips students with the language and academic skills needed for an undergraduate degree in the UK. For NCUK universities, EAP grades may be used in place of an IELTS examination for university entrance and visa purposes. All NCUK programmes are created in conjunction with, and quality assured by, their founder universities. The NCUK IFY is recognised by UKNARIC as an equivalent to UK A-Levels, the Australian Senior Secondary School Certificate of Education and the United States Advanced Placement.
