A Goal for The Environment

Report by Dante Ferrante, Member of the Student Council

CIC Student Council held another successful charity event on 15th November. This time, it was a football game in which there were four teams representing four different charities. Battling vigorously for the triumph, our 'Astounding Amnesties' team represented Amnesty International, the 'Unbridled UK Cancers Researchers' got involved on behalf of UK Cancer Research, the 'Bold Big Issuers' fought for the Big Issue Foundation, and finally the 'Wonderous Wild Lifers' represented the WWF.

Each team fought with diligence and vigour, but one stood out from the rest. One team fought for its cause like no other showing its true Herculean strength, power, and determination. The 'Wonderous Wild Lifers' spread their roots all over the pitch, sprouting a true victory in the name of nature. With the aid of us all, planting our own money in the cause for the greater good, we managed to raise £80 for the WWF. On behalf of WWF and the Student Council, we would like to grow and extend our warmest gratitude to all who aided the event and donated to the charity. Your generous donations can now go on to help preserve wildlife and grow more trees, and for that, we are all thankful.
